Saturday was our FFA section’s CDE’s (Career Development Events) for Public Speaking. The contests the students could participate in are FFA Creed Recitation (for Freshman), Prepared Public Speaking, Extemporaneous Public Speaking, and Job Interview Contest. Some students really get into the contests, but I don’t think they realize what they get out of it. These are not just competitions, but training for job and life skills. Using Google Sites for an E-portfolio
Today we started using Google sites in Agricultural Communications to set up e-portfolios. We will use them also with twitter and Google docs to have a blog and micro blogs to teach new journalism skills.
